If there’s one thing we’ve learned from last weekend, it’s that you love hearing our story! So over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing what makes Lavender & Sage Apothecary unique, from our products to our processes. First up: meet the maker!

Hi everyone! I’m Grace, the owner and crafter behind Lavender & Sage Apothecary. With degrees in Plant Pathology and Biotechnology, I’ve always been passionate about the intersection of knowledge and nature. I have over a decade of experience as a research specialist, and I strongly feel that my background helps make our products so special – science meets candles!!!

Since our inception, I’ve used my training to investigate healthier alternatives to mass produced candles. Without getting TOO nerdy, I learned that many “clean” products still use wax blends containing paraffin (a petroleum byproduct), or fragrance oils with harmful ingredients. That’s where we stand apart from the crowd! I’ve used my science-based approach to create truly eco-friendly candles free from hidden toxins like phthalates and carcinogens.
